i must be reading it wrong then...are you saying to 'turn' the tyre on the rim so that the worn outside edge is on the inside then because the tyre is probably an asymmetrical tyre then you cant do that...

Effectively the wheel stays where it is but the tyres get swapped at the front. This means the worn outters become worn inners 👍 FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

if the nsf tyre/wheel goes to the osf , why would you take it off the rim?

It could be an issue with some tyres but if they are pointing forward as they should be how can it be an issue?

i still say that if the tyre has the word 'outside' on the side of the tyre then it must be fitted that in that way...

I'll look at my vreds when I get home but I'm positive there is no outside or inside marker on them just a rotational requirement. As long as the rotation is correct it doesn't matter what wheel or side they are on.

I get what Stan is on about. Wifey's XF has both a rotational requirement AND they all have the word OUTSIDE on the outer facing side wall. They cannot be swapped from side to side, only front to back. |

Nerdy I know but I bought a digital tread depth gauge. The readings are quite useful.
