Only the one bucket for me - rinse with a pressure washer, once over with a soapy sponge that doesn’t leave my hand, so doesn’t pick up crap from the bottom of the bucket, then rinse again.

Towel drying took very little time due to the heat, infact, I had to be quick about it.

Pro detail before winter - he spends a full day on it and uses all sorts of fancy ceramic stuff. It then spends the winter in a ski resort and the garage under my building doesn’t have a water supply anyway.

Depressing washing it though, as I’ve now found some new scuffs on the wheels and rediscovered those on the paint Sad

How do you do the inner rims without removing the wheels ?

After buying mine a few weeks ago, I did my first wash (which took nearly 3 hours just on the outside paintwork) and was so disappointed in the paint condition - its an SVO colour so I think its worth the effort.

So I sent the FFRR to my detailer who reckons he has spent 50 hours on it to get the paint sorted and ceramic coated. It was with him 10 days in total.
Now I have a new regime of washing ahead - my detailer has recommended Carpro stuff so interested to see how I get on with the new processes to keep it looking right and as swirl free as possible.

Always cleaned my own cars and would never allow anything less than 2 hours on each one - which i still think is a quick clean !

Thumbs Up .
It's better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission ......... apparently!

Had the Disco 4 ceramic coated with G-Technic and all it takes now is a snow foam and quick rub with a wash mitt and then a jet wash and dry and she is done.

Takes about 20 mins but a further 20 to set up and put away Crying or Very sad

The ceramic coatings really do work and make washing really easy Thumbs Up "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

to summarize,

today, clean car, much effort, tomorrow it will get dirty

or

today, leave car dirty, no effort, tomorrow it will still be dirty.......

difficult choice... Mr. Green ... - .- -.

Thumbs Up That’s the stuff that was used on mine - it does seem to make the car much easier to wash - in particular the flies seem to come off a bit easier.

Sadly by the time I get to the airport on Monday the front end will be plastered again and the car park seems to be a dust magnet, so by the time I’ve driven home again and collected another layer of insects, the shine will be a distant memory......

Ours doesn't have turbines Alistair so don't know, the ones we have you can get your hand through the spokes to clean the inner rims:
