UPDATE!!!

Ffs - Sean called last week said they have started working on it. That was Tuesday time so said OK when we looking end of the week. Yeah or early next week

Just called him - they haven’t got anyone to work on it Martin been doing bits on it but they not had anyone in. Guy is in hospital or something on those lines. Sean said he isn’t a mechanic so can’t help out

I said mate it’s been 8 weeks. 2 months since I dropped it off. What’s going on. Come on man 8 weeks. I forgot I owned the car. Winter has come and gone and I haven’t had the car. 8 weeks mate really!!!

I said look get Martin to contact me as this isn’t good enough. I need to get the car back. If I knew it was going to take 8 weeks I would have gone elsewhere!!!

Ash, being in the trade I hate to have to suggest this, but it might be worth contacting the Motor Ombudsman. I've been following this thread and can make a reasoned argument for Martin for a lot of what has (Or in this case hasn't) happened, but this has gone on too far now with too many broken promises. Ask Sean if they're a member of Motorcodes (Should be on their website). If they are then you'd need to contact them as well as the Ombudsman.
However, before you do that;
Decide for yourself what they need to do now to save the situation, and if they can't or won't, let them know you'll be writing to the ombudsman, and if they're a member, Motorcodes.
Believe me, having had to deal with the Ombudsman twice myself (Though may I add in both cases they ruled in our favour), they'll want to avoid the huge amount of work that involves.
Really don't like having to suggest this course of action against a fellow trade member, but it's this sort of press that gives us all a bad name. All that said, I think I speak for all on here who would like to read Martin's version of events. That said, the single biggest gripe on our game is always lack of communication, and it seems you've had Censored all.

Hi Sam

Appreciated. I will take note of that. Martin does have a right to reply. But I have it all documented on here and on emails from him when he does reply. None of this is personal. I get he is snowed under but I have afforded them a month ago to give the car back if they can’t fix it. No shame in saying they can’t or don’t want to.

But to wait 8 weeks for a fix it’s too long. It’s not a restoration or overhaul. And even if it was I would expect to agree timeframes from the outset. All I hear is it’s not on the ramp it’s on the ramp it’s not been worked on it’s being worked on it’s not being worked on.

When I chose this garage it was for Martin to do the work. It was suggested for Martin to undertake it as he was the main man. Now I get he has or should have a team. But come now 8 weeks. I’m not being a prick and unreasonable I have tried to stay respectful and polite but if I don’t get that back then what’s the point. Current Cars

What is the record for pages on a single thread?

I'm really sorry to hear you've had all of these issues and for so long.

Hope it gets resolved and at the cost quoted.

The record for longest pages with nothing being said more like or nothing being done.

I have just emailed Martin said it's taking the Censored now. It either gets done this week or I will have to look at the options me and to get the car back.

Shouldn't be taking any more work on until the cars in the garage he has had for months are fixed. fix them take new not take new and forget about the old cars you took. Current Cars

I can't understand why he's not pulling out all of the stops to get this done, 2 months is crazy. It takes you years to build up a reputation in business and less time to destroy it.

The other thing is, there's no saying that if you take it somewhere else they'll be any better and won't want to go through everything just in case the previous guy missed something.

I really feel for you, I've had issues like this with another car, difference was it was a Main Agent and they gave me a courtesy car, several in fact because it went on for 5 months.

I got offered a courtesy car on Thursday to me it was right at the end of the process so said no. I could have took it 2 months ago

I have no idea why u would want a car around for 2 months? Then you start thinking are they stripping it down taking parts off etc. Course not but still your mind goes in all directions.

You know it’s a hassle so surely you say right let’s get this car fixed and gone. Unless they are all the same and hassle to them. I really don’t know. 8 weeks man alive

Rather sell it to them they can have it they seem to want it more than me Current Cars
