You may have to inflate to only about 25 or so (Not the full 33/36) & it just takes a bit of a "wiggle" to fit in the well - But DOES fit. I've had them on the car for 3 weeks now & I must say the drive and smoothness has improved dramatically. I've also used on the motorway a few times & no more noise than Scorions fitted,before.
Definately recommend them! (& they're cheaper!)

Andrew - any fouling issues with the 55 profile AT3? Does the plastic wheel arch liner nr fuel filler pipe need heating and pushing in a bit as some folks have had to do?

Hi Rob;

No fouling issues with the 55 profile, that i know of?
Done a few '000 miles now & no problems whatsoever...apart from sitting marginally taller in vehicle (55 as opposed to 50 on Scorpions)

I take it to a specialist LR workshop for all its servicing/MOT's etc. + never commented on it & just passed its MOT , too.

I think you may be confusing it with the GG AT3 45/75 (which is a lower, wider profile) and i have seen on this blog that you will have to do some adjustments for those.

I must say; These tyres are brilliant & so much smoother (Again; A higher profile than Scorpions) + not any noisier than the previous Pirelli Scorpions.
Havent had a chance to use in the mud & snow, yet...But winter isnt far off!
But I would definately fit them again & recommend them.

I got a set of these fitted last week, they're incredible.

Now, reading this thread, it seems that the spare really needs to be changed out as well. Is that the case for certain? Seems like such a waste chucking a brand new spare (255/50/20).

i have throughout the years bought many sets of [4] wheels and have ended up with an odd spare..

my thoughts are that if you did have a puncture on the road wheel ,you treat the 'odd' spare as a space saver to get you to a tyre shop or home...
you obviously take care in driving/speed.. ... - .- -.

It can't be a "space saver" style wheel as it is smaller in diameter and circumference, I wouldn't give the diff a healthy prognosis in this case.

Thank you for sharing that. That's bit of a "how do I drive " consideration to add into the equation now. I wonder if they'd have changed much in three years

I doubt it otherwise they would be called AT4.....
IME wet braking is the No1 quality I look for in a tyre. All tyres grip well enough in the dry and if you are loosing traction on the road in the dry you are simply driving way too fast. I'd consider Grabbers if I was regularly needing to do a lot of off road but they are too compromised in wet conditions for mainly road use IMO. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
