United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Causeway Grey

Saw this in Herefordshire a few weeks ago. Possibly Portofino blue?

I think you're right, I think it is Portofino Blue.

I'm not knocking you for sharing this Tom, but personally I think that blue and black colour combo looks awful.

Eirik34 yes I think that is Eiger Grey πŸ‘

And I agree Aja500 - I reckon the car Tom spotted is Portofino Blue - same as William and Kate's new ride πŸ™‚

I can't think of another car where the colour changes the look at the rear so much. If you opt for a light colour then the dark tail light areas create a definite arch; if you opt for a dark colour with the AB accents then the look is almost completely reversed.

My gut prefers the effect with the lighter colours - which do you prefer?

Completely agree. The dark colours really wash out the design at the back, to the extent it's not immediately obvious it's a RR. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Actually, just looking at that photo, will the rear number plates be standard size? Is this a dealer decision, or does the space on the boot determine the size?

My current FFRR has a larger rear plate, but I've noticed a few 71 reg L405 cars with thinner plates like the one in the picture. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

I think that whatever colour people choose, how they option the rest of the exterior is going to make or break the car. Like the one I spotted with those horrible black wheels! (Thank god it was only a prototype test vehicle) Tom

Norway 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

This must be the Charente grey, or? --> https://youtu.be/QmHHIQW9PX8. In the last part of the video it looked darker, almost like Carpathian grey?

I agree Eirik34 - hard to tell. Could almost be black in some parts of the film!

Meanwhile here is Belgravia Green in the Californian sun. I have this on order and was planning to change, but these pictures look good to my eyes!

What do you think?

If this is a true representation of Belgravia then I think it’s a great colour. However, other images of Belgravia, and the colour sample I have seen at the dealer, are less green and more grey. I am looking forward to seeing one like this in the metal.

LeunamRR I think the sun in Portugal will help too!

5.0 I hear you. That said the sample I saw does feel pretty close to the pictures in my mind. Here are the pictures and sample - of course all sorts of post production may have happened, different lighting conditions etc but as you say if the car looks like the pictures then we have ourselves a great colour on our hands πŸ™‚

Hendy Southampton have a new car in the pound in this Belgavia green, it's a lot greyer than the colours shown on here and the UK sunlight won't show it at it's best.
I thought it was a bit dull and non descript but I have ordered the BRG and now seen that on a new SVR Sport and it's not like the colour swatches so I'm stuck as I don't want to go ahead with that. For Β£4500 it's got to have a wow factor and it didn't.
Black hides the design of the rear which I really like so I'd like to see it, Eiger grey is very light in real life so possibly Carpathian, my Defender was that colour with a black pack and did look smart.

The problem with BRG is that it only pops in the sun otherwise it just looks almost black. My current order is BRG but I am far from convinced and when it’s a huge premium I think I really ought to love it. As I have posted before, never have I had so much trouble choosing a colour for a car!

AndyS do you remember whether the Belgravia Green car you saw had a black pack or silver atlas trim? Any photos by any chance?

I remember seeing a Rosello Red L405 with a black pack I felt looked dull (no offence to anyone who has one and loves it) and then the same colour with silver atlas and diamond cut wheels that looked amazing. So I wonder if the same will be true of the new model with the trim pack playing a big role in the look.
