yes Vogue.

Ah yes I've seen these 5m cables on different sites as I've been searching the internet....do you mean this way is plug & play?

The audio system i have or should i say the speaker system is ok, so the 5m cable idea would work great as long as i didn't have to cut any of the original wiring loam, as i said i would only have to splice in the reverse camera.

Thx for the link to the head unit that gives me another avenue to get some sound in the RR.

Yea the only wire cutting you’d need to do would be to the speakers if you were bypassing the dsp amp Current stable:

I’ve just installed a Navtool box in my L322 and it’s amazing. All fits in the back by the sat nav so n messing about with the dash. Retails access to all factory things like 4x4 and radio etc but adds CarPlay and Android Auto. Takes about half an hour to fit and the hardest part is getting the aux cable through from the back of the car.

If it sticks, force it. If it breaks, it needs replacing anyway.

I have one of those nav's but without an amp it is useless, if i can find a DSP Amp i could connect and do much the same.
Does it have DAB radio?

Ah gutted that you never got to install the unit!

@Danwilderspin - It has some terrain response-ish looking area, but im fairly sure its broken (should show the wheel alignment, but they eventually just creep off the screen).

Those 2 other new units you posted look really nice! - Id have been tempted with the larger screen version, if id not already got my current one.

Morning gents.

Am trying to understand.

With the icebox unit

Does the amp continue to function? I know I might lose fading and what not but does the amp itself continue to work?

Do the steering wheel controls work?

Does the setting of clock/date work for the speedo dash?

I know for the RRS I had to get a MOST decoder to rca for the amp. Is that the same here?

Am told there's also audio head unit. Is that what allows us to avoid the decoder?

Cheers Its actually a sport Sad

The icebox one I had linked to, there's no extra long wires to fit, and as far as I can see all the original amp, steering wheel controls etc all work fine.

Clock can be set on the unit, which updates the clock on the dash.

The only setting that doesn't work (for me anyway), is that all the distances on the speedo are in kmh, not mph (setting exists on the amp to change it but doesn't update).

Original reverse camera also works completely fine in this unit.

Ah I've not used the gap tool before, if it works let me know!

It's only a minor annoyance for me, and can ignore it, but would be nice if it was in mph.

Got it direct from the icebox guys - they only really order from their supplier (probably aliexpress ha) once you've done an order, so delivery is just as long, but I guess they're also happy to answer questions if your installing it yourself too.

All the details should be correct whats on the icebox listing, but I'll have a look at the specs on my unit later today

i was wondering, am about to install the sucker, i plugged the fibre optic to the one that came behind the old head unit and the power cable to the one behind the glove box.

but ive got no sound or steering controls. am guessing the fibre optic loop is broken.

did you use the loop back cables anywhere?

cheers Its actually a sport Sad
