I’ve been logging “Miles to next Service” in the display vs actual miles covered, to try to predict how many actual miles it will be until my next service, and approximately when I will have to do an interim oil change on my TDV6 which does mainly short (16 mile, urban) return runs through the week, plus the odd longer 50 mileish run weekends.

Here are the screenshots of my spreadsheet. Details increased once I got the dongle. I have the service booked for the start of October. I think I will make it.

Knowing when the regen is happening, I think has increased the km between services (or slowed the drop of km until next service). I have one failed regen. it reduced the km until the next service a lot.

Today I knew a regen was due so took the car for a blast on the auto barn. It seems that the active regen triggered 3 times, in a row. The start of the first one to the end of the last one was double the km the other have taken. Also, the soot % dropped again when it finished. I can also confirm that the top speed of an SDV8 is about 135mmph.

So my car will have its 3-year service tomorrow. So an oil change. I got 10,000Km on the last change and I estimate I could have had another 1000km. I hope I will get more KM with tracking until the following oil change is due. Currently, it says 751km between active regens.
I have a trip to the UK next week and snowboarding at Christmas. Both trips will add a few KM on. SDV8 AB MY 2020

So current numbers. KM until Service when the service was finished 25,866.

km since service 267 and service needed km dropped by 222. The biggest drop was when the car had its TUV (MOT). As it had to sit there with the engine running for a time.

The km until the next active regen is 751. This will happen when I start the journey to the UK. As before I expect to see the k until service drop during and climb a little once finished depending on my journeys. In the next 2 weeks I will have a couple of active regens. I will report the effects on the km until the next service. SDV8 AB MY 2020

so I am on holiday in the UK. I have made 2 very short journeys and 9000km dropped from until the next service - no active regen,

My active regens are every 751km which seems to be where I get to 100% soot.

the short journey here are a lot smaller than the ones I do at home. SDV8 AB MY 2020

Hi all, I'm really interested to see this working but I'm having a similar issues to a couple of the others in not getting things to work.

I have a 2015 Range Rover Hybrid 3.0 SDV6 but it's not showing the correct sensors for me. I have purchased the app and I'm fairly sure I have everything set up correctly.

Out of interest, my connection profile is showing as Land Rover OBD-II / EOBD , is this what others are seeing?

Thank you.

Land Rover OBD-II / EOBD is the one I am using. What sensors are you looking for?

So I did a long journey after the shorts ones. The numbers are KM since service: 1.333 and drop-in service km: 1.905.
I have got the 9000km back. So happy about that. The next Active Regen is on the drive home.

I would be interested in knowing what values people have for "Average Distance Between PF Regen". SDV8 AB MY 2020

I dont believe there is a profile for 3.0 SDV6 Hybrid, or any Hybrid? I remember a similar issue with a forum member on the RRS site, is it a Ford Lion engine? Thats what he had and was not compatible.

You could try at your own risk the RRS 3.0D 2012-2013 profile, but maybe best to email the developer.

There are other apps out there that might have that profile, just a matter of research. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Thanks for the reply.

I presumed it would have the same engine sensors, perhaps wrongly. I've contacted the software developer to see if he can help. If I get a reply I will post back here with the answer.

So upgraded Car Scanner pro to lifetime (£4.09 for Android), vgate thingy (I'm not an engineer) arrived, plugged in and fired her up to get available sensors and then have a play in demo mode.

Trying to replicate Kot's initial display but I find that my car 2014 MY14 V8 as below doesn't offer the Regen Status (0/1/2) or the average distance between regens. They are listed in the all available sensors list but not when I select sensors for last used car. Not a huge deal as I believe the exhaust temperature will show when an active regen is taking place and finished.

However I do have a '[ECM] DPF incomplete regeneration status' available. Anyone know if this is what it sounds like or what values it returns? I haven't taken the old girl out yet so haven't tried it out for real. Chris

Latest data: 3 Regens since the service.
Km covered: 2139km
Drop km until next service: 2815km
km until Service: 23051km

The next few weeks there are a few 30km journeys. Then there's the long trip to snowboarding.

My feeling at the moment is that I could make it a year until the next oil service is due. As it seems I am getting an Active Regen every 751km, I go out of my way to do a longer motorway drive for it to happen.

Tips:
No journeys where the engine doesn't get to temp for a time (I lost a few KM until next service there)
Watching to see when the active regen is happening and make sure it is complete.
Constant Speed/rpm during regen 120km/h is enough
Active Regens seem to take 18-20km to happen SDV8 AB MY 2020

Latest data: 5 Regens since the service.
Km covered: 3496km
Drop km until next service: 3903km
km until Service: 21963km

Watching the number the difference between the covered and next service km is averaging 600km. SDV8 AB MY 2020

So I am only getting Regen at 100% soot.

Latest data: 6 Regens since the service.
Km covered: 4,268km
Drop km until next service: 5,764km
km until Service: 20,102km

A bigger drop in the KM until the next service. But between regen, it seem the number decreases (increase the KM until the next service) SDV8 AB MY 2020
