I got mine done by the guy who sells the kits on eBay. He was a very nice guy and happy to talk anything through, so if you're stuck I'm sure a phonecall to him will get you sorted. However HUGIs guide looks great. One thing I would be careful of though is if you take of the aluminium intake plenum you put it back with a torque wrench. If you do it by guessing it doesn't always fit correctly and can leak air.

Also I had a custom intake pipe done instead of that stupid black plastic thing. Added minimal (but nice) supercharger noise and there was a nice increase in throttle response.

I dont like the black plastic thing.

Great point with the torque for the intake plenum. However I did mark the position of the buckle so I knew how tight it was before.

Ryan, I doubt the oil would have been changed during that process, although I'm happy to be proved wrong.

I'd assume not.

Interestingly, the recent health check my SC had done by Conrico in Chertsey, the garage refused to change the SC oil as their computer information suggested there was a metal bar directly inside the SC casing once the allen nut was removed, thereby preventing syringe oil removal. I asked them to actually check, but they declined on the basis they 'may' cause damage by doing an operation they clearly weren't familiar with.

My SC's due a service any time now, so I'll be booking her in somewhere that is amenable to doing the oil change. I tried doing it myself but chickened out taking the SC snout off. Si. <This is my name.

My 2007 S/C has done 65,000 kms and I've had a read of this and the process seems pretty straight forward though undoubtedly more awkward than it seems. In any case, is it too soon to do yet at 65k? It is also a very easy 65k too.

What do you reckon?

It needs a specific allen key. (We didnt have so we had to make one to fit) Size: (3/16)

Removing the nut there seems complicated with the throttle body intake in place.
So we decided to remove the throttle body intake (part no: LR005192)



Here you can see which Parts you need to remove. It is Part 1 and 4.




First you have to undo in the back and lift the throttle body intake and pull it towards you.

Then it is pretty easy to undo the nut and take out the old oil and refill with new one. Probably the nut is stuck and you need to spray it with some WD40. I would advise you to put a rag down there so if the nut or the allen key falls you can grab it easily.

I used the syringe which was included in the Kit I bought from EBAY. I got 170ml out of the Supercharger. The Oil capacity is 215ml. To get out as much as possible lift the car in the back a bit so the oil is flowing to the front of the Supercharger.


Then refill the Supercharger with the same quantitiy of oil until it overflows (second reason to put a rug or a piece of cotton there) Just tight the nut again and you are done.

Please be aware! You need special Oil. I read some topics somewhere else about people using normal engine oil?!! Censored

Hope you understand my approach even if English is not my first language and I am not very familiar with technical terms.

Just scroll down a bit. It is much easier to do than you might think, just a little fiddly if you have large hands, also don't forget the rag you don't want to lose the drain plug
