Having read through this with interest and hopefully not having to do it on mine in the near future, it seems that the heat shield bolts are a big part of the job.

This tool has a good review and could be the solution.

After doing a fluid change on the gearbox and being sat for 10 or so mintes at 2k revs. I had the DPF full visit dealer warning come up. The way I got around the DPF being blocked was to use the diagnostic scanner to tell the ECU that I had replaced the DPF and then I forced a regen. I had 2g of soot after a short drive on the M4. Havent seen the warning again since |

So I have the same code on my Gap iid. When I clear faults it's the only one that comes back. Occasionally I'll have restricted performance but also the car will kill the engine when trying to drive away. Usually if I clear the faults and do a few start stops it allows me to drive normally without any other issues. Today though it took loads of try's before it finally allowed me to drive the car, obviously with it stopping the engine this is problematic. Will changing this sensor cure this, has anyone else had the issue with the engine cutting out. Happy to replace the sensor just wanted to find out if anyone had the same issue with the engine cutting out. Many thanks |
