The step only sits on the hinges in like a half-inch recess, so if you lift it at the back, you should be able to manipulate it off.

Also same fuse box there is Fuse link FL1 (top left) for deployable steps and probably deployable towbar Module.
I had an issue once with a frozen amp and by pulling the fuse and replacing same it did nothing, but when I pulled the associated Fuse Link it reset the module. Maybe you will be lucky and thats all it is?

Latest update:
Bought a used deployable steps control module. I unplugged the old one and then plugged into the new one ( I did not remove the old one yet, so it was in a vertical position, if that matters).

As soon as I plugged into the second plug, both steps deployed!

But.... I go to the screen and go on deployable steps and it's doing the same thing - I press power and then it goes in to the menu, then goes back to powered off.

I checked the F39 fuse and it looks like it's still good.

Next steps?

I am going to try and remove the spare tire liner so I can get a good look at the wires and maybe twist them, But alas, now the left seat is not folding down. I'll open another thread on that. 2023 L460 Range Rover SE P400
