JLR have requested the broken one. They probably just want to check the serial numbers, who knows.. |

I would be checking myself, as if it does fail, your dealer will absolve themself of any responsibility and you are then left with having to sort it out.

Hi I have a 2015 65 plate which has got the dreaded cracks but outside the recall I have contacted JLR and am taking it to Duckworth at market rasen on Monday for them to investigate the car |

Got both sides on my 2016 outside of vin range replaced without any argument, even got a new o/s driveshaft when they destroyed it removing the knuckle.

Would love to know what pressure can be applied to JLR - I've a 09/15 registered MY2016 and Duckworth have just confirmed its not subject to a recall for this - VIN ends GA253xxx - which I thought was within range.

Here is the letter they sent. my VIN is GAZ 654 Note the program number N759 (required by the dealer on application for inspection)

My only recommendation would be to keep all the parts removed, log the incident with DVSA and keep hold of your invoice from OFG Lincoln with a view to claiming back the cost should the recall be extended! https://contact-dvsa.service.gov.uk/report-vehicle-safety-defect/ |
