My unit arrived last Thursday. I fitted it yesterday, all working.

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who didn’t get the ribbon cables seated properly the first time — took me four goes as well!

How have you found the screen quality and the responsiveness of the system? I like my top mounted screen but I'd like to replace it properly with a more integrated solution.

The screen quality isn’t as good as a modern Android display or the built-in screens in newer cars, but it’s still decent and everything is clear and easy to read. It feels pretty responsive and I haven’t had any issues with lag or readability.

Just for comparison, I’m 5 months into my upgrade.

Sorry to be daft but which unit is this? Looks great! Does it improve the in-cabin phone microphone quality?

It really depends on what you want. If you prefer to keep the original features or like the factory look, go for the one mentioned in this thread. The Android unit has a nice large display, but mine tended to struggle a bit in the heat and was really only good for CarPlay. Both options involve removing the dash and take about the same amount of time to install. The original CarPlay unit is a bit more involved since you need to take the old head unit apart, fit a new board, and connect two ribbon cables. It’s not difficult, just a bit time-consuming. |

To be honest I am not fussed on the look.
