It would need to be classified as a commercial vehicle before getting the relevant rfl, can imagine convincing the insurer that it’s a commercial will also be an effort.

We use our L322 3.6 as a farm vehicle, not registered as a commercial, just put it down as a Landrover for the accountant.. |

I use mine with the back seats removed and a slider with Milwaukee packout mounts, had considered adapting a discovery 5 commercial load liner and bulkhead as they are cheap second hand, hadn't considered trying to get it registered as a commercial

Hi Monty400k - thanks for sharing - do you have a photo of the loading bay and the mountings you used?

My first L322 (3.6TDV8) was converted to a commercial when new at first registration. Rear seats and belts removed, shear bolts in the mounting points for the rear seats and belts, rear windows blacked out, metal divider between front and rear seats, etc.

Don't suppose you know what the bulkhead came out of, looks as though it's been adapted to fit the L322? |

I'm afraid I don't, but suspect it's a modified D3 or L322 full height dog guard. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom ![]() |
