Problem solved - hands up who selected the “rear washer and wiper won’t work with the tailgate open” option.

| There’s actually no water coming from before the non return valve. All fuses seem ok as well. |

It’s a sort of rattle - most noticeable inside the car in the first few mins of driving. I thought it was a dodgy alternator bearing, but the Indy said it’s definitely the high pressure pump.
