I also drilled from the underside, in the joint. I used a 0.2 mm (Dremel tool) and drilled three holes. They are totally invisible

The outer edge of the piston will rust over time when there is little left on the pads. This may affect the retraction negatively when new (and thicker) pads are mounted.

Thank you for the ideas. I will test them out. I don't want the relay on the trailer, but if no current is sent to the reverse lamp on the trailer unless there is extra load on the brake light curcuit ...

There are two. pnh000173 for hot climate zone and pnh000163 for "not hot".
