alternator is quite easy to do. drop the bottom tray off and you can get quite good access.
water pump not to bad either but i had most of the top off when i dropped mine off.

if you check the wiki there is WMs in there fingers crossed there is a wiring diagram

i have mine off and sat in the car but havent looked at it yet.

i believe you can, if i remeber correctly its just the hoses that goto the coolers either side that need to come off, maybe acouple of others.
but i did take mine apart about 4 months ago ... |

if i rememeber correctly you can get the SC off by only disconnecting the hoses going to the rad assembly up on top.
but it was almost 4 moths ago i took mine off

push both front seats all the way forward, makes life alot easier.
had to have mine apart to clean up the drink my son spilt in it.

having read a bit of this page there is a cam to adjust them.
alkso read another thread where the guy printed out a protractor to get teh measurment just right.

start filling the system as normal through the expansion tank, this will help alot.
bot also above the pump by the top of the radiator there is a bleed screw for that system also, the other way is ... |
