I know when I had a Disco there was a way to remove towbar without key! Just wondering if towbar on FFRR can be removed without key as the one i received with mine has been lost ! Obviously im concious there maybe crooks about so if possible please can you PM me . Thanks Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

best way is to undo the bolt which holds the 2 pieces and then you're left with a 2'' square hole..... ... - .- -.

If it's the detachable towbar then you're best keeping it in the boot when not in use. Mine came with a broken key in the lock so I just removed it myself using rudimentary tools in not very long at all. Shame I can't get a replacement lock ...

I have a similar issue with the key snapped off in the towbar lock. I removed the bolt (green arrow) and applied moderate force to try and extract the towbar assembly from the square receiver as Stan mentioned.

i took mine off this way..plenty of wd40 and bang with hammer.. ... - .- -.
