Nothing no,

Absolutely identical symptoms to the other car.

Very laggy to drive, hesitation when tipping into the throttle (pull away)

Feels a bit like grass, gravel, snow mode but it's not In any mode.

I do now have an IID tool as well as SDD for diagnostics.

Yes Mikey,

Both cars had no egr blanks when bought and were fine for months with blanks fitted.

I've blanked the EGRs on all diesels I've owned and never had anything but positive results. I understand not everybody believes in blanking but I am happy with it.

Possiblt wasting near £100 on new upper intercooler pipes tomorrow Nick just to test.

I can't be the only 3.6 owner in the world to have experienced this... on 2 cars!

So, both cars have EGR blanks, and both cars have exactly the same symptoms, and you don't see that they may be causing your issues?

Id rather waste an hours time removing the blanks and run it for a few weeks to see if the symptoms improve...

I dont see how blanks can be causing my issues on either car when they were fitted to both for months before any issues showed up. Over 5 months on this car!

Even if I completely unplug the EGRs it makes not one jot of difference.

Removing and refitting the boost pipes helps for a short time on both cars. I am going to focus on this area.

They would make a difference, as when the PCM commands the EGR valves to open, the throttle body butterfly closes (in both bodies) , to allow the engine to suck in the EGR gasses
When this happens, the PCM also expects to see a drop in readings from the MAF sensors

I fully expect that the PCM is seeing something it isn't happy with when the EGRs are active, but blanked. Same goes for when they are unplugged, though I'd expect the EML to illuminate at some point...

I understand that Mikey and it does completely make sense to me Smile

I had egr trouble on the first car which caused an eml but no loss of performance. I blanked the valves and had them mapped out with no problems after until the issue we are discussing arose.

I bought this car with functioning EGRs and no problems, blanked them physically in the first month and it's been great (last 6 months) till I had to so the auxiliary belt and tensioners which required draining coolant, removing coolant hoses and removing the intercooler to manifold boost hoses oh and the viscous fan

I would monitor the coolant temperature sensor in case of a poor electrical contact on its connector which may be getting bumped or its wiring bumped during hose R&R.

Two new genuine LR upper intercooler hoses fitted tonight.. no difference.

I will check the ECT sensor connection tommorow Graeme.

I keep trying to think of what is common between both cars as maybe this will lead to a solution

You might want to monitor the sensor while manipulating the harness. The movement of the engine under load could be opening-up a break in a wire.

Have both vehicles had the same EGR blank and remap (from the same company)?

As I recall, you tried every conceivable option, except reverting back to original tune.

As Mikey mentions, this is the only common denominator.

Personally, were it the same company that remapped, I'd go back and ask for it to be checked and reverted to standard and take it from there.

I've had hoses split, turbo actuators seize, and EGRs fail and I haven't experienced your issue. 2007 3.6 TDV8

My understanding is that from around 2007 onwards, it’s not possible to get away with blanks and not remapping.

A check engine light will be displayed.

Pesky euro emissions regs.

Try unplugging your EGRs 2007 3.6 TDV8

Egrs blanked and no check engine light for months. I've tried unplugging the EGRs, doesnt affect how it drives.

Not sure how to attach files but here is a google drive link to some data from the IID tool.

Not sure it this is helpful but I dont think I understand how to interpret it fully to see if there is a clue?

Only got up to speeds of 30mph as I was driving in town. (IID shows speed in kmh though)
