The lacquer shouldn't fail. Bodywork shop reckoned mine had had a respray on the roof at some point. I had a similar quote but the car was worth £5k top as trade in so wasn't worth it. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Well it's been just over 18 months since owning my fatty and still loving every minute when I do drive it. So today I decided I'd go through my invoices since my ownership and tot up what I've spent on it. I really wish I hadn't, made my eyes water and I've not told the missus either, she'd have coronary Laughing
So this is what I've spent up until now.

Intake manifold/service £1209.69
Full service. £405.00
Front discs & pads CV boot. £880.76
Rear discs & pads/ oil filter change. £667.82
4 X hankook tyres £583.00
Wheel alignment. £48.00
Remap £249.00
Roof/spoiler/upper tailgate respray £1260.97
Genuine new roof antenna £113.00
Rear spoiler brake light £79.00
Spending a grand total of £5493.27.
OUCH! Neutral
That's not including the goodies I've bought for her like the steering wheel, rear lights, gap iid etc etc.

That is probably a lot you might think, but then they all needed doing and shouldn't need doing now for a fair number of years I shouldn't think. So hopefully it should be less costs for me with general maintenance. I can only hope.
Would I change my mind in owning one?

As my fatty decided to be good to me and my wallet and fly through its MOT, I thought I would treat it to a nice coat of Harley's carnuba wax to bring the shine back up and finished it off with my famous RAC tyre shine from B&M.
Now I'm happy again it's gleaming.

Took it for MOT on Monday and flew through with no advisories, totally shocked Shocked

Then straight after I put on the newly refurbished wheels with 4 brand new 285/40/22 XL accelera iota tyres. I decided to go with the 40's with advice from you guys on here.
First impressions with the tyres, they feel very smooth indeed and not noisy at all, totally transformed the ride. Not tried them in the wet yet so can't say. Not really bothered about what mileage I get out of them as it's only used every other week due to working away.

Thanks Ben, very rare colour I believe. Not seen another overfinch in Rimini red, would be nice to find out if mine is really the only one.
