Thanks John, still a few things to do before it's up to my spec.

I think the ambient lighting is a nice subtle touch in the range rover, didn't know BMW had then in their older cars though, I've never had one

Just love seeing it shine when I've waxed it. Missus thinks it's becoming an obsession Whistle

Looks good! These are cars to be proud of so we want them looking their best!
Once I have (expensive) bits and pieces sorted I’ll get out and sort what’s needed to polish the car and have her looking her best! Then it’ll be me with that obsession! Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Having my fatty for a while now, my missus decides she wants a Freelander 2 after having a drive in my fatty. Yes yes I know I'm stupid for letting her drive it, I really don't know what I was thinking at the time. So my fatty gave birth to this Stornoway grey FL2 HSE with the HST body kit. Must admit, it's a great looking car and drives beautiful. Though she still wants mine, but that's never going to happen Laughing

Thanks Dale, did actually stumble on it by chance. She was adamant she wanted a disco, had a look at few then I seen that one on autotrader and she wasn't to sure so I said let's go look anyway and she loved it. 125k but no service history, so the dealer knocked off 1k off the price, resprayed the wheels gloss black, changed auto box oil, the diff oil, full MOT and service and gave us a years warranty, so couldn't grumble at that. She's going to write to the previous owner and see if they still have the service history and spare key. Fingers crossed they still have it.

That's lovely. As John says, the HST is the best one.

My sister has an XS FL2 and it's a really nice car to drive, almost as nice as the FF. Almost.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

She’s a nice looking “mini-me”!
How is she now the honeymoon period has worn off? Still happy?
The Mrs wants a big car for herself, but in all honesty I don’t think that is a good idea for her…
I thing something like that would appeal to her. Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Sorry for the delay in posting on here, it's been somewhat of a stupidly stage few weeks, what with working none stop and family issues. She's been parked up for the last 5 weeks while I've been busy driving around Europe working chasing cruise ships and taking new landing legs to airports for planes that have had a bad landing. Battery went flat but nothing a jump start wouldn't cure.

Ffrr-lover, she still loving it but she don't drive it all that often as she's now changed job which is across the road from where we live so walks to work which is handy. She'll take princess to school once a week to give it a run out. Only problem she had was the CP sensor failed on the school run but other than that, it's running sweet. She actually finds it much easier to park than her old Renault Megane. It's not too big and not too small, might be perfect for your missus to drive about in.

So as it's been stood for nearly 5 weeks parked up next to a farm, spent 3 hours jet washing it to get rid of all the dust and hay and everything else you can think of from a farm. Drove it on to some pallets, raised the suspension and gave the underneath a damn good jet wash too, which wasn't a bad idea as I may do that every few weeks over the winter just to keep the salt at bay.
So as i am off work all weekend and felt awful for neglecting it, I thought I would treat it to a couple of coats of polish, this time using X1 PTFE polish. Used this before on my truck and lasts very well indeed.

And of course, finished the tyres off with the excellent RAC tyre shine from B&M.

I'm a happy she's gleaming again, I'm obsessed with keeping it clean.

Fabulously presented its a credit to you, nice plate by the way.

Our own cleaning and detailing obsession has been extended to a 2008 E class Mercedes sport estate which is my sons daily driver after our MG ZT died. We have put in around 30 hours on that it , completely transformed it. We bought a Rug doctor carpet cleaner a few years ago , it's unbelievable what that gets out of what looks like a clean carpet. Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch

Thanks John, it's still not up to my standard yet. The wheels could do with a Refurb and will be sticking with the gloss black. Lacquer is peeling on the roof so may just go down the easy route and have the roof vinyl wrapped. And thanks about the plate, I'm still surprised I haven't been pulled by plod having it like that. I've had the plate for 6 years and was previously on my Saab 5 years.

That's sad about your MG ZT, they were a great car back in the day with awesome V6 engine. I've never had one but my mate did and he loved it.
Was a car valeter for a number of years when I left school so keeping a car clean really is in my blood. Every car I've had has always been meticulously kept clean. My last car before the fatty was a 2008 Saab 9-5 aero which I had for 9 years and it wanted for nothing, not once did it every let me down. If I had the space I would have kept it, so sad to see it go but still sold it for £2200 with 107k on the clock. The new owner couldn't believe it when he came to view it in how fantastic condition it was in. He bought it there and then and full asking price. He was even more happy when he test drove it and couldn't believe the power it had. Keeping a car in tip top condition adds loads of value in my opinion.
