To be honest, I can do without the live stuff, since I can use Waze through CarPlay and the InControl stuff works fine, so I’m not missing anything I had previously.

Given what the TCU does, I’m not inclined to change it and the likely ensuing hassle and cost.

If you can get the Indy/ Dealer s/w update to S22A through Pathfinder this could fix the problem, but otherwise it looks like replacing the TCU  “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Just picked up a 2019MY last week, and can’t see my home WiFi or connect to iPhone/ sim.

Was going to try battery disconnect and unplugging the telematics module in the first instance. Current > FFRR 2018 3.0 SDV6

Brief update - my Wi-Fi and SIM card have not been working on my Range Rover which I recently purchased secondhand. Tried various resets without success.

Purchased a secondhand TCU from eBay for £50 . Switched out the TCU and found that Wi-Fi worked fine. Did try a couple of SIM cards from my mobile phones. Not sure if there were specific issues with the SIM cards, and didn’t mess around with them too much but they were not working but did seem to make more progress than before the TCU swap. Think they might need to be left alone for an hour or 2 to pick up a signal?

Used my scanner to try to adapt the secondhand TCU to my VIN, but it doesn’t have that function. Notwithstanding, thought I would see how I get on with the secondhand TCU, but then of course discovered that the smart key was not recognised. Needed to switch back to the original TCU and unfortunately the Wi-Fi problem came back. Also, with the Wi-Fi working on the secondhand unit, I did try for software updates but there weren’t any available.

So I’ve confirmed what the issue is, but not solved it as yet. I have read a couple of posts that suggest that Land Rover now have a software fix, but I need to give them a call to see if that is the case. Current > FFRR 2018 3.0 SDV6

Good and bad news then. Since I have the remote app , I guess replacing the TCU would stop that working, so not a viable solution but at least you’ve proved the point.

Agreed. When I tried to set-up InControl on my car, it wasn’t finding my VIN. I contacted LR and they said there was a problem (which I assumed was due to my connectivity issues) but came back to me a few days later having sorted it. They’ve given me 3 years of Secure Tracker! As I’m sure you know, there’s a separate SIM in the TCU.

I’m not sure there’s any great benefits to having WiFi working and I do have Apple CarPlay but these things niggle away at me until I get them sorted.

What I did find difficult was releasing the connection clips on the TCU and invariably breaking some of the clips when trying to take them off ! Current > FFRR 2018 3.0 SDV6

I’m with you on the niggling aspect of this. It’s more of a “I want to prove this will work”, rather than using the feature.
I’m now getting issues connecting USB devices and CarPlay can also be temperamental at times, so I wonder if the issues is getting worse. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
