Ta Stan. Yep will be doing the easy stuff first like hoses and MAP condition. Then sticky turbo actuator. Next, failing MAP.

My car goes bong and logs the code mainly if I'm under load, towing, especially up hill.

Take off and check the top right inter cooler hose. Will probably have split where it bends at the engine end under the webbing.

I got into it this morning and quickly found a passenger side (right hand when looking at engine bay from front) intercooler hose was split on the top at the bend.

I think I need to get pressure test done. I can't find any leaks or splits but something isn't quite right. |

You sometimes need to take the hose off to see the split or it could be under the webbing. Also don’t forget the bottom hoses, there is another 2 at the bottom and some round the turbos as well. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I will get the lot replaced. Does anyone have the part numbers for the bottom turbo hoses?

I’ve been driving for about 5 days and the repair seems to be holding up. I still haven’t organised a replacement. ______________________________

Just be aware that as the hose is damaged it can still collapse internally and cause the dreaded bong, happened to me soon after my temp repair like yours. |

The silicone tape fell off and the fault reoccurred. So reapplied the tape and then secured the silicone tape by wrapping it in electrical tape. That held up better.
