It's not as bad as it looks but be very careful not to drop anything as Henda says. There's a good thread here. I posted a few tips on there.

I did mine at the weekend. Little bit fiddly with the support bar bolts but only took an hour. The bolts in the bottom are captive so you can’t drop them.

Ran the FF up to kielder and got 32 mpg that's up and down the A68 ran all around kielder off road low gears burst an air bag then ran back down and averaged 27.6 for the weekend can't grumble there
Can't believe how good they go off road ( nothing heavy ) tracks , mud water nd mud

Im not sure if it’s in my head but mine seems more rattly now under load. It’s nice and quiet on the move but moving off the traffic lights it sounds like an old Diesel engine.
I did speak to Andy at EGR Delete who supplied the blanks and he thinks it may have been remapped and not correctly. The diesel rattle could be advanced timing similar to pinking on a petrol engine. He also said the kit needs a digital delete to be effective although I can’t see why if they are sealed off now.
My TD6 ran well with the blanks for 9 years so I’m happy they make a difference.

I did mine (2009 3.6 facelift) whilst its been sitting idle with gearbox problems.

As said a bit fiddly, that support bar was a PITA but done in well under an hour. being a short arse the worse thing I find doing anything on the RR is having to use step ladders!!!!

The odd few short hops I've done since would indicate a mile or two better mpg in mixed driving, not had any long runs. I don't know when the EGR is most active, idle, hard throttle or trailing throttle? If somone knows a garage in the NE who can do a digital delete for reasonable pennies I'd consider it.

Did mine today. Yes a very straightforward job. Time will tell what the difference will be, but she seems a little more responsive.

Can blanking the EGR put pressure anywhere else? Since fitting the blank kit I noticed a slight oil drip last week which was not there before. It has got markedly worse today, enough to fill the undertray, despite minimal use of about 30 miles.

Looking upwards the highest point I can see wetted is where the steering column enters the power steering rack, however it may be dripping from elsewhere/above that and getting flung there by the driveshaft.

Please tell me this isn't anywhere near the turbo?

A friend standing by the drivers window at startup the other day said it was unusually smelly from that side, and he's a long term diesel owner. I must say I thought the same but wondered if the FBH was coming into play?

This whole car is starting to make me itch. I'm going off RR ownership rapidly.

Just want to check if I’m missing something or is it that the installing new EGRs needs a lot more access?

That's right, two completely separate jobs. As you saw the EGR replacement is quite involved, whereas the blanking kit is extremely straightforward as all you're removing is two small pipes that are easy to get to, fitting in their place some blanking plugs.
