they are crappy 6 watt jobbys and dont give much light...i've replaced mine with smd's but although the light is now whiter its still not that much brighter due to the size restriction of the new bulbs..i do get an error as my install is only temporary until i think of something else.. |

If you need a bit more light at times switch the rear foglights on when reversing. |

good tip NDFI and maybe touching the brakes lights as well... |

If you want more light then you could fit a higher wattage bulb - 10 watt etc. The wiring would take a small increase. You would have to ensure you don't leave it in reverse for extended periods or you could risk burning the lense.

couldnt find a larger wattage bulb with the same fittings when i looked dan, mind you i didnt look much cos i swung over to the smd's more or less straight away.. |

i think you will find that they are halogen bulbs hence the funny fitment, so i think you wont get any brighter bulb with out a mod of some sort, V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

If its for night lighting why not install some infra-red bulbs, the reversing camera can then pick up objects better can it not, aka nightvision?? |

Scarey, do they trigger the "check lights" warning? Or you've added some resistors? |

you do get a 'check bulb warning' and i haven't put resisters in-line yet..
