Brighter reverse lights?

Gents,

has anybody fitted aftermarket bulbs for the reverse light? Maybe some error-free leds? Rolling Eyes

And what bulb do we have by the way? Very Happy

Thanks for your input Thumbs Up Santorini Black RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8

they are crappy 6 watt jobbys and dont give much light...i've replaced mine with smd's but although the light is now whiter its still not that much brighter due to the size restriction of the new bulbs..i do get an error as my install is only temporary until i think of something else..

If you need a bit more light at times switch the rear foglights on when reversing.

If you want more light then you could fit a higher wattage bulb - 10 watt etc. The wiring would take a small increase. You would have to ensure you don't leave it in reverse for extended periods or you could risk burning the lense.

LED's are the way to go if you want a whiter light, but certainly not a brighter

i think you will find that they are halogen bulbs hence the funny fitment, so i think you wont get any brighter bulb with out a mod of some sort, V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

If its for night lighting why not install some infra-red bulbs, the reversing camera can then pick up objects better can it not, aka nightvision??

And what fitment do we have? Smile I've seen many bright bulbs which are claimed to be "xenon like". I thought the camera had IR lighting? Rolling Eyes Santorini Black RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8

Scarey, do they trigger the "check lights" warning? Or you've added some resistors? Thumbs Up and they are "straight" or "curved"? Santorini Black RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8
