| I just changed the intercooler hoses on my FF 3.6 TDV8, the old ones did have a smear of oil on the inside, as JayGee says, some oil is nothing unusual after quite a few years of use. |

I'm not familiar with the 405 architecture but I assume removing the exhaust is somewhat easier than removing the engine, especially if the sensor is in the exhaust, why the engine removal?
