I wouldn't claim that charging anywhere in the UK is painless. Luckily I don't have to do it but I know plenty of people who do and it seems to be manageable or better. Even for those who do big mileages.

I would just point out that making a YouTube video titled "How I was able to charge my EV with no issues whatsoever and go about my business" probably doesn't monetise as well as the ones posted above Very Happy 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Its the old story isnt it, nobody writes about how good things are, how well something worked, the majority are complaining or reporting issues. If you thought the posts on here were a good sample / true picture of a Range Rover you would never give one a second look. My L322 was fantastic and an amazing tow vehicle, it was something I had to get out of my system and I'm glad I had my L322 for a short time. I did post on many occasions with blogs of where I'd been, fuel consumption etc as well as when I had issues, many people dont. BMW i3 Electric Car

I give up.

EVs are amazing and perfect in every situation and there is no room for improvement. Let's all scrap our ICE cars and join the club.

Actually I'll wait a little longer, I've never said they are not the future, I've never said ICE is best just that there are pros and cons to both. Happy for those that have them at the moment, that is your choice and budget but as said before I am entitled to my opinion. Tom

I have had an enjoyable morning reading this thread with a nice box of popcorn, one question, is there an EV that will tow 3.5T 95% of the time? Thumbs Up

Are you really such a fan - or funded? Let's see how you feel about EVs in a year's time...

Wow, seemed to hit the EV fanboys raw nerves. 4 hours /.../e OP's point that costs to run an EV rising is a very real concern when comparing costs of vehicle and per mile travel.

Not just EV fanboys', regular new vehicle buyers Flashman Wink But let's be real, the market is going electric for many positive reasons.

In your post, we see the typical popular misconceptions and stereotypes (pushed by the oil industry?). If you look into it seriously, you'll learn new techs already do not use Lithium (unlike one's laptop, iPhone, potentially, car remote, toothbrush, etc)

Anyhow, your points were relevant 3/4 years ago but all, yes all, these points have been resolved already: one can easily charge anywhere now in the UK. New tech will make it cheaper than ever to run an EV and ICEs vehicles will be naturally replaced (the price of these will collapse, not lithium battery EVS).

For info, the first loan bank has just announced they will stop loans on ICE and Hybrid cars altogether. Shows you where the market is going.

https://bankaust.com.au/about-us/why-us/ev...loans-2025

It doesn't show you where the market is going - it shows you how determined the money gravy train followers have gotten and who have become very greedy and will push the lie for as long as they can...

It is suggested that their is/are only enough raw materials for three (possibly 5) years of regular production of EV type gimmick cars for the masses (they don't want us driving anyway very soon - go check the WEF websites and listen in) before those resources come to a global end... AND then what?

Hang onto those L322s chaps... as when the EVs disappear and the fad wears off those big beasts will be worth a fortune Thumbs Up

That will have rusted away into a pile of iron oxide long before EV’s are done. The only time they’re worth a fortune is when a Land Rover dealer is brainwashing the buyer. BMW i3 Electric Car
