I wonder how close the L322 "oil drain mod" is to the more recent L405 - as cannot find the L332 one anywhere ? |

LR032130 is listed for L322, L494 & L405. The drain doesn't go anywhere near the diff, driveshafts or the sub-frame. |

I also had done drain mode about year ago. In the beginning all looks nice, no smoke at all (at least seems so). But ater half year (10000km) of driving the smoke coming slightly back again. Not so much as before, but still.

I have regularly been paddling down the box to get the engine revving above 3000 rpm in the last few weeks, and have no smoke, it is obvious to me that the second turbo needs to be used now and again to prevent the oil build up

I'm of the same mind, it's easy to get above 3000rpm using the paddles on the motorway but try as I might I can't see any smoke in my mirrors. So I guess I should leave well alone, there is another possibility that it has already been done by the previous owner. Anyway when I see smoke I'll have a look Geoff |

I have just looked on ebay for LR032130 and to me this looks like the originally fitted drain pipe and not the upgrade. Correct me if I am wrong. Also own a 1976 Land Rover 101 3.5 V8. Previously owned 1991 Range Rover Vogue 3.9 V8. |

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my very extensive experiences with this engine. When I bought this car it comsumed about 1 liter for 500km. We took the engine out and did full turbo cartridge replacement and oil drain mod. After test drive the consumption has decreased to 250gr per 3000km or something. And I decided to took another shot and bought 2 new brand turbo about 5500€. We have installed the turbos with no luck, still there is some oil inside the intercooler and shut-off valve hoses.

The key word is worked for you not everyone, I was dealt with at least 15 L405 and L322 with same problem. Your one car could be okay with this mod it doesnt mean every car will be okay. By the way I just wanted to show you different view of angle. Nobody asked your political view so keep it to yourself okay. If anybody helps with this issue I would not care if he is from Mars, Jupiter or Russia. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Range Rover Vogue |

I never suggested that it would work for every car, I havent heard of anyone having the mod done where it hasnt worked though.
