Thank you Pcourtney ill be doing a full correction detail and cermamic coating last.

Also i realised whilst sat in the boot! This is a clear glass car! Its tinted so ill remove those tooo yesssss

Ok all problems sigted at this point

Upper control arms almost perished but yet to fail
Will change both sides

Oil leak has been found its a very slow weeping rocker cover gasket it leaves no puddles or drops confirmed by feeling around the rear side of cylinder head

i would have hoped it was changed during chains but i guess not or full on rtv job

Might be hard to ignore as charger will be comming off

Tranfer case has also has a weeping leak not leaving a drop ill tigten the bolts by quarter turn and leave this

This is worst of the rust on the car

I will clean and coat both subframes then treat paint and wax all other sighting of surface rust.

Still no parking sensors or centre console lights this is either a fuse or module so i will have to dig into that later

Thats it for today! Grabbing 36mm spanner and 2 more 4t stands tomorrow

If i disconnect power to steps whilst deployed they should remain out from what i understood.

I will remove charger tomorrow, hopefully then jack it high amd even as i can and get to sealing all underside while i wait 1500 in parts

I think the desgn pack body kit chrome side vents / grilles that you have go really nice with those shiny bright chrome wheels Smile

I was thinking of changing my grilles to 2006 Supercharged, but never found a decent pair, at the moment the grey grille colour kinda matches my shadow chrome alloys, so kind of looks OEM

my Vogue Sumatra Black car has standard grey vent grilles as seen below, have yours perhaps been painted black by the PO

Thank you pcourtney i think i want old style triple slat at this point.

Todays shenanigans as im off tomorrow and wish to complete all underside works.

Made sure all wheel bolts come off before raising the car for the first time.

What a rubbish design in wheel bolts surely there must be a all stainless alternative? Need to look into this, had to butcher a few chrome covers

First maiden full jacking was a little scary but with the front covers off its easy to see all the good points.

Rear had to improvise which ended up working quite well

but new stands are barely tall enough to clear wheels so had to add some timber. I had a pair of ancient van stands for the front they worked better on the subframe that go like 75cm high but are not finely adjustable.

Never the less i made it all work and car is dead level with rear needing 1cm on the jack, once Gearbox service is done i can drop it.

In the end i decided to unplug the auto steps from below whilst deployed as i found this the safest way

Hopefully i wont be here often!

Interestingly, my 2012 in Sumatra black, has side vents which are colour coded half black.

I cant justify that i got a titanium set for me m3 for 200 that price is steep there must be a halfway option

Or just replace like 5 oem ones and move on

That's interesting, and they do look really good on your car, maybe they did that for latest 2012 L322's , mine is August 2011, but probably manufactured earlier in the year, and is all the same plastic colour grey Smile
