Check if your fan is working.
The A/C condenser needs air flow for cooling to allow the system to work.
When in traffic and not moving it relies on the fan to provide this.

Turn the wheel in and get a long breaker bar (at least 750mm) and scaffold tube if needed.
I always seem to get better results with a long bar when they are really tight. |

Hi Mark,
Yes you can just unscrew the fan and feed the belt through.
From memory you need to remove both the 8mm bolts on the metal coolant pipe to get enough movement to feed the belt through easil ... |

Yes it is straight forward enough with a simple drain and fill / level plug.
Both are an 8mm hex and have a copper sealing washer.
These can be reused but it's safer to get new washers. |

It's hard to see from the photos but they normally leak from the seal between the two halves.
There is no gasket, it just uses a sealant, and you have to remove and split the box to reseal.

I use the Febi oil filters from Advance Factors and have never had any issues.
I normally use Mann filters but I don't think they make a fitment for the 4.4 TDV8. |

Just to add I had the same fault code as well which I didn't pay much attention to as it was a U code.
I think this is likely to have been caused by the gearbox not performing as requested. |
