| You might have to connect an extra battery to the car for the charger to see enough voltage to start charging, then disconnect the extra battery after a few minutes. |

The glow-plugs are down there but the wiring is covered so the plate shouldn't be able to cause a short circuit.
Are you using a 6-point socket for the bolt head? |

| Slicing open the throttle body intake hose works if it can be done soon enough, or just squeezing the hose closed with multi-grips as I did to a TD5. |
