Mine has a 90 degree rubber bend that goes direct to a steel tube. They are part of the vacuum hose assembly, LR076025. There are a couple of used assemblies on Ebay for £100+ or a new one is about £300. I always have the handbrake off when raising or lowering because the wheels will roll a bit and the noise could be from the parking brake shoes.
